Answers to all those Questions

What’s the crawl all about?

The crawl is a social event designed to unite the Springs cycling community …through beer … or whatever you like to drink … even tea … and we’re ok with that.

What bike should I ride?

Any bike that you enjoy riding will work well.  People ride everything from high dollar performance machines to cruisers to home-built barely rideable contraptions. Keep in mind that you will be leaving the bike outside of bars all night long, so bring a lock.

What gear should I bring?

Lights are required by law, and are a good idea.  Locks and helmets aren’t required, but are also a good idea to bring.

What if I’m not a hardcore biker?

Everybody is welcome.  If you have a bike, and have read this much of the website, then you have no excuse not to come.

What if I don’t drink?

Our high dollar lawyers say that no one should drink while riding a bike.  There are actually tons of people on the crawl who don’t drink at all.  It’s a social event, not a drinking event.

Can I get a DUI?

While you can’t get a DUI on a bike, you can get a BUI.  We don’t know the details, but it probably sucks.  Drink responsibly.  See the disclaimer for more details.

What bars do you go to?

We go to most bars within riding distance of downtown.

How many bars do you go to in a night?

About a few.

Do I need to be over 21?

This is our most frequently asked stupid question.

Can I ride a motorcycle?

This is our second most frequently asked stupid question.

Can I ride a motorcycle?

As long as you don’t turn it on, motorcycles are welcome.

Can I ride a motorcycle?

Shut the fuck up. (If you’re under 18, don’t read that)

If I drive to the crawl with my bike, then ride it to the bars, am I a pussy?

Yes. But we’ll only make fun of you on the way to the first bar.

What if it’s raining/snowing/hailing?

Wear a rain/snow/hail jacket, sissy.  Seriously, we crawl harder than the mailman.

Do I have to ride a bike, or can I drive from bar to bar?
You are missing the point.
